Welcome to the Alberta Climate ExchangeThe Alberta Climate Exchange provides comprehensive carbon credit and climate change information for individuals, businesses and governmental organizations. The intent of the Alberta Climate Exchange is to foster debate and provide as much information as possible (from all perspectives) on Climate Change (including causes and effects) as well as provide coverage on the emergence of carbon credit trading and it's relationship to the environment. Climate ChangeClimate change is a change in the statistical distribution of weather over periods of time that range from decades to millions of years. It can be a change in the average weather or a change in the distribution of weather events around an average. Climate change may be limited to a specific region, or may occur across the entire Earth. Typically in the context of environmental policy, climate change usually refers to changes in modern climate, often referred to as global warming. There is no debating that our climate is changing, however there is debate over what the causes are. Is this simply the planet's natural course or does the responsibility lie with us? There is plenty of scientific evidence from both sides of the debate, and we encourage visitors of this site to provide their feedback including providing source material/articles.
